The Italian National Team

The Italy national cricket team is the team that represents the country of Italy, selected by the FCrI - Italian Cricket Federation and rappresents Italy in the various competions and friendly games organized by the  International Cricket Council (ICC). Italy has been an associate member of the ICC since 1995, having previously been the first affiliate member in 1984.

The National team is currently ranked 29th in the ICC 50 Overs Ranking and 27th in the T20 ICC Rankings. It competes in the European Championship played in the T20 format (until 2010 it was played on 50 overs) and now plays in the ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League B togheter with Kenya, Hong Kong, Uganda, Jersey and Bermuda. 

Italy have registered there first major International title when in 2013 they won the European Division One (England, Ireland, Scotland and Holland stop participating in 2010 at the Euros) and with that win it competed in the 2013 ICC Twenty 20 World Cup Qualifer where the team gainged its higest ever ICC ranking, ending 17th in the world!

The first Official International match played by Italy was against Denmark in 1989. The game ended with a draw because of the rain.

Italy's next matches are in the second (of the three tournaments) ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League B supposed to be played on August 2020 in Uganda. We still dont have any updates on the new dates for the tournament will has been postponed for the COVID-19 emergency. Even the T20 Euro Championships have been postponed.
